Bio – Jim Morelli
An award-winning Realtor in Austin for over a decade, and a RE/MAX Hall of Fame member, Jim prides himself on staying at the forefront of the market. When you choose Jim and his team, you’re getting top-notch service from an area expert.
Jim has a B.S. from Southern Illinois University. After graduation, he went into direct sales in the office equipment industry, where he quickly became a top producer. He’s held several sales management positions with Danka Business Systems, and stayed in management with them with until moving to Austin. He firmly believes the sales training he received at Danka helps him excel as a Realtor to this day.
Jim began practicing real estate in Texas in July 2001 and quickly rose to the top at Coldwell Banker United Realtors. While there, he was awarded Rookie of the Year for the Arboretum office in 2001 and earned the distinction of being named to the Diamond Society. Less than 10% of all Coldwell Banker agents gain entry into this production-based group.
In February of 2004, Jim moved his business to RE/MAX Capital City, where he has consistently been one of the top producers. In 2008, Jim’s outstanding production numbers earned him entry into the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame.
Since being licensed, Jim and his team have closed over 425 transactions, 285 of which were properties that were listed and sold. He also successfully helps clients purchase investment real estate.
A REALTOR® designated real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry. Jim has continued to stay abreast of the market and keep his skills at a high level by earning designations. He has earned the CDPE designation to become a Certified Distress Property Expert, and helps individuals and families successfully avoid foreclosure as well as guides investors purchasing short sales. He has also earned the ePro designation endorsed by the National Association of REALTORS®, which teaches professionals the foundations of working with real estate on-line: web sites, e-mail, on-line tools, and social media.
